The Domestic Violence Response Program addresses a need within the community to provide personal protection, empowerment, and safety to people living under the threat of domestic/relational violence and stalking.
The DVRP is a unique initiative which allows people with limited means to access, through our program, a previously cost-prohibitive level of protection to safeguard themselves in situations of harassment, violence, stalking, threats, etc.
Currently there are few other affordable options to provide constant protection for people living with domestic violence other than through shelters, where only a small fraction of the need can be met.
The DVRP’s experienced representatives employ the use of the most up-to-date tools and software currently available within the fields of safety and security, enabling more adequate prevention and protection for those under imminent threat of family or relational violence, stalking or harassment.
The goal of the DVRP is to work collaboratively with other community services to provide an intermediate solution for protection in order to allow the police to conduct investigations and hopefully lay charges. The DVRP is NOT an investigative or enforcement agency but functions as a support to the police services, shelters, and victims.
